Sree Narayana Education Society is a service organization devoted to the cause of education and social advancement based on the principles of equality and social justice enunciated by the great social reformer Sree Narayana Guru. The society was registered in the year 1977. SNES was started by renowned business tycoon late M.A Unneerikutty and a team of Sree Narayana Guru Devotees, by receiving the first donation from late Dr. T. Balakrishnan of Ashoka Hospital. During the past 37 years it has been successfully implementing various educational, social, cultural and humanitarian activities designed to benefit the general public without any distinction of caste, creed or religion.
Within its past 37 years of service SNES has secured for itself a prominent niche in the prime areas of education and culture. We are grateful to our past members as wellas to SNE's present members who continually strive to make the day-to-day activities of SNES a resounding success. The society is in possession of 10.68 Acres of land near kunnamangalam, a suburb about 18kms. From Calicut. This beautiful piece of land is named Guru Narayana Giri. Out of 10.68 acres of land 4.65 acres was gifted to the society by the children and other family members of late K.P Choyi and the remaining 6.03 acres was bought by the society. The whole area is being developed into Sree Narayana Educational complex with various institutional institutions, within a few year's time. We have already constructed a block of 16 classroom to accommodate classes from LKG to XIIth standard for our K.P Choyi Memorial Sree Narayana Vidyalayam, 18000 square feet building for our MBA College (SNES IMSAR) and a building for SNES College of Arts, commerce and Management.
In pursuance of its long tradition of service, of society has acquired 27 cents of land together with a building adjacent to the academypremises. The society intends to extend the area of operation to a few job oriented courses there during this year.
We acknowledge with deep thankfulness that fifteen acres of land in Mannarghat, Karimpuzha has been most generously donated to Sree Narayana Education Society (S.N.E.S) Calicut by former Mannarghat M.L.A Sri. Parakkottil Kumaran and his brothers.
Another major gift that we have to acknowledge with profound gratitude is the 22.5cents along with a two storeyed structure in the very center of Calicut at Thondayad, KudilThodu Road near Mavoor Road donated to the society by prominent businessman, social worker, Sree Narayana Guru follower former General Secretary of Sreekanteswara Kshethra Yogam and long-time member of the Governing body of this society, Sri. Narakath Kunnath Balakrishnan.
M. A. Unneerikutty, who was a renowned business tycoon, a great Sree Narayana Guru devotee, social activist, a great personality who took Malabar to new horizons in the field of trade and commerce, former President of Malabar Chamber of Commerce who took major initiatives in making the dream of Calicut Airport a reality. Along with other prominent personalities from different sectors of Services, Trade and Commerce of Calicut he set up SNES, a non-profit Service Organisation devoted to the cause of Education and Social Advancement based on the principles of equality and social justice. He started SNES's operations by receiving the first donation in 1977 from late Dr. Balakrishnan, who was the proprietor of Ashoka Hospital
